Barcelona, otra vez más entre las mejores ciudades europeas para emprender e invertir, según los expertos.

Barcelona continúa potenciando su gran atractivo como uno de los mejores entornos europeos para iniciar un proyecto empresarial, desarrollar una startup o invertir, principalmente en el sector inmobiliario.

En este caso según el informe del fondo de inversiones Atomico, es la tercera ciudad favorita para los emprendedores despues de un exhaustivo estudio en el que se han tenido en cuenta la opinión de los trabajadores, empresarios, inversores, la calidad de las instalaciones, las ubicaciones, talento laboral disponible, calidad de vida, etcétera.

El informe de la firma de inversión, propiedad del fundador de Skype, sitúa la capital catalana entre los lugares predilectos para establecer una nueva compañía por delante de Ámsterdam, París o Madrid. Así, el análisis constata que la capital catalana es también la quinta de Europa donde más “start-ups” tecnológicas se han iniciado este 2019, en total unas 800.

Atomico asegura que Londres continúa teniendo la densidad más grande “de start-ups, talento e inversores”, además de captar la mayor parte del capital inversor a Europa. Aún así, destaca que la opción londinense para emprender un nuevo negocio tiene un coste importante: el alquiler de oficina. En este sentido, la capital británica es la que tiene un precio más elevado con diferencia de la Unión Europea.

Por el contrario, el informe remarca que Barcelona es una de las capitales más baratas para encontrar ubicación profesional y también en la que los costes laborales se hallan entre los menos elevados de Europa en el sector tecnológico. Alquilar oficina en Barcelona es un 75% más económico que hacerlo en Londres de media.

En cuanto a la atracción de capital, Barcelona también se encuentra entre las que firmaron más acuerdos de inversión de gran volumen el 2019. En innovación tecnológica, este año se han realizado más de un centenar de inversiones que superaban los 100 millones de dólares.

Barcelona percibió 36.961 dólares en capital por desarrollador, siendo la cuarta ciudad, detrás de Londres, Estocolmo y Berlín en capital invertido por talento en los últimos cinco años. La ciudad condal es el foco más interesante para los emprendedores, ya que la capital catalana es la tercera más nombrada, incluso, por delante de París.

Me and my partner have been trying to buy a flat and secure a mortgage with our banks during which we have been in touch with many agencies, but none of them being as professional as Immoaugusta.

Ignasi, who showed us the flat at the beginning – which we decided to make an offer for – was always available, supported us throughout the process and handled the requests of our lawyer efficiently too. He even went out of his way and pushed for our mortgage request to be evaluated quicker and helped resolve a potential issue with another agency, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, at the end we were not granted a mortgage and had to request the prepayment to be sent back to us, and again there were no delays and everything went smoothly.

We could only recommend this agency for anyone who would like a reliable process, and it is especially nice that no disadvantage comes from not being a native Spanish speaker as we were helped in English (which is needless to say not available by default generally in Barcelona). If there was one thing I would recommend to potential buyers when applying for a mortgage is to make sure they are directly dealing with the banks too, as we had a not-so-pleasant experience when relying on Prohipotecas, a company that was recommended to us by Immoaugusta. Overall though, we would be happy to become customers again as the experience was 10/10

My partner and I relocated from the UK to Barcelona and found ourselves really struggling as we didn’t speak any Spanish.

We tried a few other estate agencies who weren’t helpful, didn’t care that we couldn’t speak English and couldn’t help arrange viewings on the then limited dates we had to travel to Barcelona.

I then found Ignasi and the team. Ignasi was so helpful in translating and arranging viewings that worked with our weekend visits from the uk. Ultimately they helped us find our dream home but not only that but supported us settling into the city with help on local knowledge. Nothing was too much even meeting us at 10pm with the keys when we landed here in Barcelona on a late flight.
