Barcelona, capital mundial de las Smart Cities del 13 al 15 de Noviembre.

Barcelona se convierte una vez más del 13 al 15 de Noviembre en la capital mundial de las Smart Cities gracias a la organización del Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), que tendrá lugar en el recinto Gran Vía de Fira de Barcelona.

Un total de 840 empresas expositoras se darán cita, representantes de 700 ciudades de todo el mundo contando con la presencia de más de 100 alcaldes. La Fira ha aumentado el 31% el espacio de exposición, ocupando por primera vez dos pabellones indicando así el éxito de esta convocatoria.

El primer teniente de alcalde Gerardo Pisarello he elogiado que Barcelona se convierta estos días en centro mundial de la revolución digital y ha destacado la importancia de este evento para atraer inversiones. Se trata de un evento de “gran nivel”, basado en proyectos reales impulsados por ciudades y empresas de todo el mundo, que también han trabajado para mejorar los contenidos de la edición.

El congreso pivotará en base a cinco ejes: Digital Transformation, Urban Environment, Mobility, Governance & Finance, and Inclusive & Shared Cities, además de tratar temas como Data-driven Cities, 5G y el futuro de la conectividad, las Ciudades Resilientes, la gentrificación y la economía circular y colaborativa, entre otros.

Este evento sitúa a Barcelona como un gran hub tecnológico del sur de Europa. Entre las más de 840 empresas que participarán en esta edición, destacan Alstom, Bosch, Cellnex, Cisco, Dassault, Deloitte, FCC o Ferrovial, entre muchas otras. Las ciudades más destacadas en esta edición serán Amsterdam (Holanda), Atlanta (Estados Unidos), Seúl (Corea del Sur) o Tel Aviv (Israel). Los alcaldes de Atenas (Grecia), Lima (Perú), Dubrovnik (Croacia) o Kampala (Uganda), al igual que un centenar más, ya han confirmado su asistencia al evento.

Barcelona sigue potenciando su atractivo como una de los entornos económicos más interesantes para la instalación de empresas tecnológicas de todo tipo. Barcelona destaca por su dinamismo empresarial, su gran calidad de vida, sus infraestructuras, su buena conexión y de la gran calidad en cuanto a la vida cultural y gastronómica. Claramente Barcelona se sitúa como una de las ciudades europeas con mayor atractivo para inversores, también del sector inmobiliario, queriendo comprar una vivienda en Barcelona.

Me and my partner have been trying to buy a flat and secure a mortgage with our banks during which we have been in touch with many agencies, but none of them being as professional as Immoaugusta.

Ignasi, who showed us the flat at the beginning – which we decided to make an offer for – was always available, supported us throughout the process and handled the requests of our lawyer efficiently too. He even went out of his way and pushed for our mortgage request to be evaluated quicker and helped resolve a potential issue with another agency, which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, at the end we were not granted a mortgage and had to request the prepayment to be sent back to us, and again there were no delays and everything went smoothly.

We could only recommend this agency for anyone who would like a reliable process, and it is especially nice that no disadvantage comes from not being a native Spanish speaker as we were helped in English (which is needless to say not available by default generally in Barcelona). If there was one thing I would recommend to potential buyers when applying for a mortgage is to make sure they are directly dealing with the banks too, as we had a not-so-pleasant experience when relying on Prohipotecas, a company that was recommended to us by Immoaugusta. Overall though, we would be happy to become customers again as the experience was 10/10

Unbeatable attention and professionalism. They sold me two flats two years apart and they both sold me at the best price for a week or two. The latter had had him in a street agency near the flat and was there for 6 months with only one visit. It’s been to spend it here and we’ve had 5 visits and we’ve made the sale. My partner and I relocated from the UK to Barcelona and found ourselves really struggling as we didn’t speak any Spanish.

We tried a few other estate agencies who weren’t helpful, didn’t care that we couldn’t speak English and couldn’t help arrange viewings on the then limited dates we had to travel to Barcelona.

I then found Ignasi and the team. Ignasi was so helpful in translating and arranging viewings that worked with our weekend visits from the uk. Ultimately they helped us find our dream home but not only that but supported us settling into the city with help on local knowledge. Nothing was too much even meeting us at 10pm with the keys when we landed here in Barcelona on a late flight.

I would highly recommend Ignasi and the team to anyone looking to rent or buy in the city.
